Myka is a 4.5 year old black lab living in NYC with her pawrents, Dr. Andrew Lemchen and his wife Carly. Like most dogs Myka loves walks, treats, swimming, wagging hello to anyone that passes her, and most of all playing fetch! But there is one special thing about Myka that sets her apart from all the other doggies living in the big apple- Myka is a Retainer Detection dog. Myka has been diligently training with her dad, with the help of Maximum K9, in order to become the first ever retainer finding dog in NYC- and maybe even the world! Eventually, LS Ortho patients will be able to request a visit from Myka, our resident ‘Ortho Lab’ and retainer detection. specialist for help finding lost retainers!
